Have you ever had a brand, asked for a rate, and immediately felt stressed: out? Because you sit and think? This.
What is my exchange rate currently.
Either way, creating a dedicated price list is one of the best ways to keep things organized and include all current prices so you can feel confident when a brand asks you for a price, and I'll show you how in today's video.
I'm a fashion and beauty creator based in NYC and I use this channel to help you create great content, grow your digital brand, and generate a sustainable income from your content.
Creation.
So.
If any of this interests you, consider subscribing now, I've been a digital creator for just over a decade.
And when I first started earning like real deals from brands.
I was totally smart.
Inflating and creating a price list for influencers is one of the best things you can do to save time and have quick access to your prices when the brand asks for it.
I.
This allows you, as the creator, to see how your prices have changed and evolved over time.
First, I will share my screen and Canva to show you exactly how to create an influencer pricing table for free.
I.
Then we'll meet here to discuss additional additions.
How often should the rate sheet be updated.
And a valid reason why you might not want to share your price list with brands.
So stay till the end of the movie.
And let's get to the tutorial.
So.
Evo nas u Change.
I.
The great thing about Canva is that there are so many templates to choose from.
So.
We don't have to start from scratch.
I looked earlier before making this video and realized that the best template to search for is the price list.
Now.
Many of them will be an invaluable element of restaurant and salon equipment.
But we will be looking for one that has several different sections.
Where can we quote prices. I think it's worth looking for one that's more split than this as we'll have more shipments for each platform we list.
There are so many good options.
I think after some initial scrolling I'm leaning towards something like this.
So here I chose a template.
And as you can see, the menu actually sounds like a very good menu and makes me a bit hungry.
Ali.
We will completely convert it into our own rate.
List.
So.
The first thing I want to do is duplicate.
Which is already here so I can explain all my different platforms.
And I'll show you exactly how I'll take it all apart.
So first I'm going to remove these little embellishments, accents.
And then I'll check those three boxes, move them around.
They.
I chose once.
All these boxes, I'm going to hit the duplicate button, then I'm going to drag this over and use the guides to make sure they're aligned.
Then I'll select all the frames and make sure I get that solid purple line to see if they're centered.
Now.
The next thing I'm going to do is replace the text and template with the text I want to include.
So instead of a price list, I'll make a price list.
And instead of food, a menu, I'll put my name in and I'll adjust.
That's later, I just want to get a copy first and then where has the header here where it says snap instead of snap I'll list my rig.
And repeat the same for each platform.
Okay, now I'm going to trade groceries for other delivery items on Instagram.
So we'll create a feed, a post, a collection of stories, and usually a price.
It's three to five frames, reel, live, and me.
I think Instagram will suffice for now, unless there's an NFT or something I'm forgetting, but since I can only think of four things, I'll remove that last price below.
Now I will repeat this process for other platforms I own so that I can list all the different results for each platform and speed up the process.
For you now.
Okay, now that I've filled in all the provided data, I can go ahead and adjust the formatting a bit to make the spacing more even.
So I'll wait until I see those matching numbers.
Raise that up a bit too.
I.
Then I'll try to select everything and zoom in a bit and move it a little closer together.
So.
So they can unscrew it.
Here's what it looks like so far.
I.
The next thing I'm going to do is take a moment and fix the colors and fonts here because.
This is just a template I found on Canva.
But I want to add my personal colors and brand fonts that I like to use.
And what is actually very good about Canva.
This is the Pro feature I will show you.
But one of my favorite things is that if I click on this tab here that talks about styles, I can actually add my brand colors and you can see some of the fonts I use here.
So I should be able to just click on it.
And automatically.
It is adapted to the colors of my brand.
You can also tap it again to shuffle right.
Here is the content of the price list.
This color, see what else? Moms, me
I think I like it that way.
Where I have a price list here in this pink color, and here at the bottom, you see a little blue color.
So.
AND! The feeling that it is.
Some nice variety.
I.
I
I had to jump in quickly to share that if you want to try Canva Pro's 30-day free trial to access features like Brand Kit where you can instantly add your brand's colors and fonts with just a few clicks, you can download this from the link below in the description.
Box.
The next thing I obviously want to do is edit the fonts.
So I'm going to select all of them here and just pick one font for that row.
To replace this font with the one I uploaded, make it much smaller.
Drag down. OK, I just went ahead and made a few more formatting updates to get it to a color other than white.
Background.
Just rearrange everything to be the way I like it.
So I really like how it looks.
And, of course.
The last thing you want to do here is replace the rates with upfront prices for each of these individual deliveries.
Now.
Another thing you can do is add another page to this price list and assemble the bundles.
So.
Maybe when you are usually hired to make videos for tiktok also offer to republish it in reality so you can create another sheet or company.
This formatting is a bit different to get to the point where you can list all your individual platforms and all packages on the same page.
But generally.
It's a quick and easy way to create price lists and Canva.
Now.
With your platform, specific deliveries and packages you can have.
You can also add another page to this influencer pricing list where you list ideal results for specific campaigns, extras like exclusivity, usage, rights, and even whitelisting.
Now.
If you are going to do this, I recommend writing down how much you are willing to charge for rights to use different types of content.
Whether it is audio, video or photo content, and specify whether it will be one month, three months, six months or 12 months.
Now.
If you're wondering why I split it up like that.
This is because there are basically three types of content: audio, photos, and video, with audio being the cheapest and video the most expensive.
I recommend taking into account both the time and the type of content, because depending on the type of content and how long someone might want to use it or ask them to stop working with a competitor, it will affect how much you pay for it.
So.
If someone wants to license your audio content from a podcast or club room, it will be cheaper than licensing your video content, especially if you appear in them.
I.
The longer a brand wants to use your content, or the longer a brand wants you not to work with a competitor, the more it will cost you over time.
So.
If I had to break it down into almost a formula, licensing audio content for one month would be the cheapest option and licensing video content for up to 12 months would be the most expensive.
Option.
I've talked about this before in a few other videos, but I recommend limiting your exclusive use to a maximum of 12 months.
Just because after that it becomes very hard to predict things when it comes to prices.
What is going on with this brand.
If someone buys or acquires them, their message changes over time, and you don't want to be tied to a brand for too long for any particular reason.
Also because it is impossible to predict how the market and money will change over time.
And when it comes to how much you pay for exclusivity and these other perks, some creators will choose to charge a percentage of their content, while others will come up with a flat monthly fee.
So.
If you choose to charge for one month of usage, you can just add it up and apply it to 1, 3, 6 or 12 months of usage, which are usually blocks of time.
As for what the brand will look like using Now, another question I usually get when talking about influencer pricing tables is how often should I update them. How? How often should I update or increase prices? In general, I recommend reviewing your price list once a quarter, you can even schedule a recurring reminder in your Google calendar for January first, April, September and no, I missed something: January, April, no, January, April, July and October.
That sounds like the start of every quarter.
I think as the industry grows, the audience continues to grow, and as you learn and acquire new skills as a creator, all of these things require higher rates.
Now I have two reservations about one: the quarterly rate update policy.
So.
The first warning is what happens if you go viral, if you go viral and suddenly your Tiktok follower count goes from 10,000 to 50,000 followers and you find that you still have very high engagement and social activity with that follower.
Chance.
This is a valid reason to raise prices.
Significantly.
I.
My second caveat is not that you constantly update your rate.
List.
Ali.
Consider adding a surcharge during busy times of the year.
Whether the seasons are busy is up to the content creator, but you may be busier in some cases than others.
You may have been contacted by brands during the holidays to hire you for more campaigns.
As a result, a percentage surcharge is added to the regular rate.
You can be a very niche type of creator.
I.
You are a person of color and the brand wants to work with you during Black History Month.
I think this justifies the extra charge on top of the price.
In a similar way.
If you're an LGBTQ+ creator and it's Pride Month, consider paying extra.
I.
Another example I like to use is when it's back to school season and you're a mom, blogger or student.
Student.
This is another great reason to add a bonus as sales, offers and so on will be even more relevant to your specific audience and the brand will want to capitalize on that.
So.
Now that you know what other plugins you can collect and how often you should update your influencer indicator, the table.
I want to explain why I do not make my price list publicly available to brands.
When it comes to negotiating with brands, I always try to get the brand to share their budget with me.
First, at least to make sure we're in the same place before sharing the courses with them.
There are two reasons.
Why am I doing this number one? You can leave money on the table if you've sent your price list and the brand expects you to pay five times over.
And now suddenly they saw your price list.
Your prices are exposed and you will actually be underpaid for your work.
One more reason: I don't like sharing this price list with brands, even though it's nice, nicely done, and technically contains all the information.
Each brand campaign is truly different.
So I like to have a price list as a reference so when a brand comes to me and asks for some unique package like one tik tok video with three months of usage rights and one month of exclusivity right not every brand comes to me asking for those three specific things.
So.
When I look at my price sheet, I can use that to do.
Customize your offer for brand partners and share it with them.
Not only does it sound better, it's even better.
To tell our brand, this is a custom quote I made for your individual campaign that I took some time to create.
This quote for and calculate on.
my end.
Ali.
It saves you from having to own them.
Do extra work if they look at your price list and try to add up.
Good, bad movie TikTok.
We asked for three-month usage rights. Yes.
And then a month of exclusivity.
Ali.
Why is this it? It gives them a chance to screw up, and you create extra work for them.
So.
All of this I just showed you and how I made this influencer price chart.
I.
All this for internal purposes only.
I.
You might think, okay, but here you go.
So why did I even spend time on this? Well, for several reasons.
Number one, as I said.
This saves time up front.
So you know what your rates are without looking.
You can see how your bids change over time and make informed decisions about when to raise them based on historical quotes, saving your brand time and being able to offer them a tailored quote instead of going in and out of all individual odds, list.
No, let me mention that having this internal list and document, all of which is actually written down, simply gives legitimacy to your Creator activity.
Somewhere.
This means that you are the real owner of the business.
That is, it is a document.
It's part of a bigger strategy for you as a content creator, and there's no better feeling in the world, at least in my experience, than having things that prove that what you're doing is real work.
It makes money and this is one of the reasons why content creation is becoming more and more accepted as a business.
Sometimes.
It's crazy to think about what we do every day and say "wow".
It's like the job I have.
Creating these documents with these systems makes your business even more legit.
Don't forget to take advantage of Canva Pro's 30-day free trial via the link below in the description box, and be sure to watch my bid increase video to learn exactly what bids to include in your Influencer bid sheet.
Thank you.
So much to watch, see you in the next video.
