The battle between Sony and Microsoft continues to this day, and the feud between the two companies actually has a huge impact on what kind of games players can enjoy on their preferred console. For PlayStation fans, there are currently only a handful of games to look forward to exclusively on PS5 - not to mention that Sony plans to introducemany of them on PCat last. Still, there's something to look forward to. We're here to share with you our list of the top 10 new and upcoming PS5 exclusives that won't be coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X.
Top 10 new and upcoming PS5 exclusives (as of April 1, 2023)
10.The Island of the Winds

Razvio: parity games
Publisher: Parity Games
In 17th century Iceland, Balance Keeper Brynhild must defend her estate and rescue her kidnapped mentor, Hrymja, who is also the leader of the Balance Keepers. In Iceland, the Keepers of the Balance act as intermediaries between the natural world and the human realm. Thanks to their close connection with their surroundings, they can draw magical power from the hidden creatures of the earth - the Guardians of the Elements.
However, Brynhild's farm comes under attack and she must embark on a journey of discovery when her farm is attacked and her mentor kidnapped. Island of Winds is an adventure game set in the stunning scenery of 17th-century fantasy Iceland, with core gameplay featuring rich history, extensive lore, and intriguing puzzles, along with legendary creatures, spells, and a particular emphasis on empathetic encounters.
9.evocation
Release date: TBA
Razvio Games: Spikewave
Publisher: Perp Games
Since Metal Gear Solid started allowing players to explore the open world and shoot open fire, and since we haven't gotten our hands on a new Splinter Cell game in a while, we haven't really seen a true stealth game in a while, aside from Hitman. Evotinction is in our eyes another great stealth action game. However, it's still a big guess on our part as we don't really know if Evotinction will be the best, especially since the developers are relatively unknown at Spikewave Games. However, that shouldn't be a reason to discriminate as there seems to be a massive game development boom going on in China, so this could be a game-changing game for developers to put them on the map. Also, based on the trailers we've seen so far, Evotinction looks really good.
8.Star Blade
Release date: TBA 2023
Razvio: SHIFT UP Corporation
Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
Formerly known as Project Eve, Stellar Blade is a PS5 console that is being developed exclusively by South Korean company SHIFT UP Corporation as its first Triple-A project. The development of the game was so promising that Sony bought the marketing rights to the game during development and announced that it would be published. SHIFT UP is credited to the mobile game NIKKE: Goddess of Victory, so we're sure this game will have a similar vibe. At least there are beautiful graphics, but we are looking forward to the action adventure, hack and slash game.
7. Eternal night
Release date: TBA 2023
Created by: Studio Sai
Publisher: Studio Sai
Eternights is a new adventure to be released in "early 2023" where we will try to make the most of life in a post-apocalyptic world - saving the planet, finding love and so on. The debut trailer for Eternights successfully demonstrated a unique mix of love story and touch combat, highlighting the necessity of dungeon exploration and courtship. Essentially a game that mixes an action RPG and a dating sim, Eternights looks promising, especially for anime fans.
6.Goodbye high volcano
Publication date: June 15, 2023
Created by: KO_OP
Publisher: KO_OP
Goodbye Volcano High is a PlayStation exclusive game that will try to play your heart out. Goodbye Volcano High is an emotional narrative adventure game that depicts the final days of high school anthropomorphic dinosaurs starring for the team as the world comes to an end due to a meteorite strike. The game centers around VVorm Drama members: non-binary Fang and their best friend Trish, drummer Reed, student council president Naomi and Fang's brother Naser as they go through the highs and lows of their senior year as Volcano and the high school seniors loom over the horizon.
As a narrative-driven adventure game, the player will make decisions that will affect the story and outcome of the game. It's a bit unsettling knowing that a meteorite is about to set the world on fire, will your decisions still matter if you all end up dying? Or is reconciliation and bonding with friends and family the only important thing, no matter what tomorrow brings?
5. Spider-Man 2
Release date: TBA 2023
Developed by: Insomniac Games
Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
As we mentioned earlier, Spider-Man 2 will be released exclusively on PS5 in the distant future. It's amazing how Insomniac Games is working on two big projects at the same time, but we hope both Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine can pull it off. Fortunately, Insomniac Games has a clean slate in this regard, and we can only wait patiently while they work their magic on this sequel. Spider-Man 3: No Way Home just added more hype to this game, and well, we'll keep this article spoiler-free.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man is already on the computer. Have you already checked?
4.Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth
Publication date: Q4 2023
Developed by: SQUARE ENIX
Publisher: SQUARE ENIX
The second game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, Rebirth will continue the divisive ending of Final Fantasy VII Remake - this tie-in fully embraces its identity as a new parallel timeline rather than a complete remake of the original game. We've seen very little footage of this build so far, but what has been teasing SQUARE ENIX so far has shown that the Final Fantasy VII Remake series could really go in a completely different direction story-wise - including the possibility of being Sephiroth's ally and that Zack Fair really lived. This is sure to be one of the best PS5 games to come out this year.
3.Baldur's Gate III
Publication date: August 31, 2023
Razvio: Larian Studios
Publisher: Larian Studios
After being a PC exclusive for a long time, Baldur's Gate 3 will finally be released in its entirety later this year. In addition to being available on PC, the game will also arrive as a PlayStation exclusive, allowing console gamers to embark on new adventures with or without friends. Hijacked, infected and lost, Baldur's Gate 3 throws players right in the middle of danger. Whether you are a human, elf or dwarf, no matter your race or class in this game, players are sure to experience a unique adventure in the Forgotten Realms. With stories packed into a new cinematic experience, CRPG has never been so beautiful before.
2.MARVEL-ow Wolverine
Release date: unknown yet
Developed by: Insomniac Games
Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
With the recent revival of interest in Wolverine with the reveal of Deadpool 3 that Hugh Jackman will return to play the character in the film, interest in the upcoming Insomniac game has also increased. Unfortunately for us MARVEL and Wolverine fans, this game won't be coming anytime soon as Insomniac Games is currently busy with another project (more on that later) and Wolverine has no release timeline or timeline yet. However, that doesn't make it any less exciting considering how little the PS5 currently has to offer when it comes to console exclusives.
1.Final Fantasy XVI
Publication date: June 22, 2023
Developed by: SQUARE ENIX
Publisher: SQUARE ENIX
Final Fantasy 16 still doesn't have a release date, but the latest news from Yoshi-P indicates that an official release date could be revealed very soon, especially since he also said the game is now in developmentfinal stages of development. Still, fans eagerly await the next entry in Square Enix's long-running saga. We expect more details to come out soon this spring as Game Director Naoki Yoshida has promised. Details about the game are still scarce, but here's what we know: The game is set in the fictional world of Valisthe, a continent with six factions on the brink of conflict due to the spread of a disease called the Blight.
